The Tsaina Lodge is located in Thompson’s Pass, at the center of the Chugach Mountains. The area was made famous by the Alaskan steep skiing pioneer Doug Combs back in the 1990’s. The skiing is literally right out the back door and is only a few minutes flight from the lodge. This puts you in the perfect location to ski the 10,000 square miles of terrain on offer.

More than 500 inches of snow fall each year. The location promotes good snow stability, where Pacific moisture meets the cold Arctic air. This enables you to ski steeper terrain than other heli ski operations.
The Chugach Range is literally a skier’s paradise with lines everywhere. Ski runs will serve up over 1,000 meters of leg burning vertical, and some even double that. The terrain is varied, with huge bowls, broad steep faces, couloirs and big long glaciers. More than enough for the discerning heli skiing enthusiast.
