Reliable Snow

Bella Coola is blessed with plentiful and reliable snow, due to regular systems that roll in from the Pacific. Total snowfall averages 20 to 30 metres each season. The heli ski area straddles a more temperate zone from the west with abundant snow, to a drier area with lighter snow in the east. The best of both worlds.

Huge Terrain

Combine Vail Colorado, Whistler BC and the entire Swiss Alps, and you have the area that Bella Coola Heli Sports operates. With over 13,150 sq/km terrain, the choices are endless. During a storm cycle there is good tree skiing close to the lodge, and high pressure systems, the big alpine snow zones to the west and the high peaks to the south.

Accessibility

One of the great things about Bella Coola is that it is a short 70-minute flight north of Vancouver. Because it takes very little time to get to the lodges, it is possible to ski on both arrival and departure days.
