The Caucasus are a remote range of mountains located at the southern tip of Russia. At the heart of the Caucasus is Arkhyz, a village on the isthmus between the Black and Caspian Seas. This area ensures high snowfall and excellent powder skiing in some of the highest mountains in Europe.

The combination of moisture from the Black Sea hitting the cold air of the Caucasus provides the perfect recipe for high precipitation amounts and excellent powder skiing.
The mountains are mostly alpine and boast an endless variety of skiable terrain, with long descents on glaciers, down steep couloirs or through wooded valleys.
You will stay in the Dacha Gorbachev which was once the summer home of former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev. The building is steeped in history and is where Helmut Kohl negotiated the reunification of Germany in 1990. The helicopter will pick you up and drop you off just outside in the garden.
