The Kackar Mountains in North East Turkey are the perfect location for heli-skiing. Cold mountain air and moisture from the Black Sea combine to make excellent powder conditions during the winter months. The mountain village of Ayder is the staging area to this extensive alpine terrain.

With the highest peak, Kaçkar Dağı, at an elevation of 3,937 metres and mountain plateaus at about 3,000 m in elevation, the range is the highest part of the Pontic Mountains. The Kaçkars are glaciated mountains that are alpine in character, with steep rocky peaks and numerous mountain lakes.
This is a huge exclusive tenure for heli-skiing with 5,000 square kilometers of terrain. There are more than 400 runs with a vertical drop of 700 to 1200 meters.
More than just powder, it is the authenticity of this region and its inhabitants that will make your stay unforgettable. You will discover and share a moment in the life of the mountain people who live in total self-sufficiency in winter and who invented snowboarding many years ago.
